AMH Forgotten Third Anniversary

Gee... How could I... forgetting AMH 3rd anniversary..... November 28th...2 weeks ago.

Three (3) is rather good number for anime, apart from 4, as most anime tends to have 3 main heroines. Of course, my favourite anime with 3 main heroines are Ah! My Goddess and ARIA series.

ARIA, what an awesome finale to the series. Wish it lasted longer but it was sweet. Three young Prima undines succedding the Three fairies. Applaud to Kozue Amano for this wonderful series.

Ah! My Goddess... I wonder if I'll be seeing your 30th anniversary. As I mentioned before, the story is getting nowhere and latest story arc is about Hild being overthrown by Hagall.

Oh ya, just another picture of the 3 heroines that rock Japan animation in 2006.

As Christmas is coming and my compulsory leave starting soon, I shall spend sometime on the blog wrapping some end of year post just like the last 2 years.

My 2007 Purchases

For fun, a brief info on my 2007 purchases. Total spent is around AUD $760. The biggest slices went to figures and manga.

My purchases in 2007
Figures:
BEAT 1/6 Alicia Florennce Figure
Goodsmile 1/8 Alicia Figure
Final Fantasy Mini Trading Collection
Bandai Action Bases
Kotobukiya Belldandy Goddess Uniform Figure

Manga & Books:
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle 1-38
Suzuka 13-17
Pastel 15-17
Aria 10
Cross Game 7-9
ARIA PS2 book
Aria Navigation File
Suzuka Graduation Guidebook
Aria Desktop Calendar

OST:
Romeo x Juliet OP Single
AMG Fighting Wings OP ED Single

Dropped Purchases:
ARIA The Arietta OP ED Single
Crescent Love OP Single

I believe the most epensive order would be the bulk manga order at Bookcafe. The order costed HK1245 which was around AUD$182.70. I'm very pleased with both Goodsmile Alicia and Kotobukiya Belldandy Goddess figures. I was disappointed with Yesasia for numerous reasons this year. They shipped my CD stacked between manga and it cracked. I had given specific instruction on the replacement case but they ended up shipping normal CD case which is not what I wanted. The other disappointment is the lost of ARIA solidworks collection. HLJ has asked JP Post to investigate. If I didn't receive anything by Jan. 10, they'd take further action.

AMH Second Anniversary

Anime & Manga Horizon is celebrating its Second Anniversary!!!

Let the celebration starts with a pop!

Time sure flies, I didn’t realize that Anime & Manga Horizon is celebrating its second anniversary this month. It seemed like the first anniversary was just a few days ago. Once again, many thanks to all visitors who browse and comment on this blog. The number of unique visitor is more than 5 times of last years! My appreciation extends to you all.

As AMH celebrates its 2nd anniversary, I sincerely thank you all for the support and willingness to visit this blog. It has been interesting to meet people with common interest in anime and manga, in particular ARIA, AMG, Suzuka and Gundam.

A toast from Kira and Athrun, a pair means two, reflecting two years old

One milestone for this blog is the finale of the Suzuka manga which I have spent on for more than 20 months since February 2006. All together 71 posts since chapter 96. The climax of Suzuka was the realization that Suzuka was pregnant which reflected in 40 comments on that particular post, Chapter 155. Personally, I wish that the Suzuka story plot could enter university level but Kouji did end the series quite amicably. Anyway, it has been a wonderful experience in blogging and enjoying the Suzuka manga. Suzuka posts have been the highlight of this blog and the finale of Suzuka also marked the start of a decrement in visit, which I have expected.

Ah sweet, the finale of Suzuka

After Suzuka blogging, instead of taking another manga series, I decided to write short and brief summary of the manga and anime series which I am currently following. After the last season, I also focus more on the manga series than the anime of which my interest has been dropping. The all time favourite post over the two years is still the Ichigo 100% ending comment post.

As usual, I have been hanging around the blogging community visiting sites by Ollin, R8, Zanza, Elitist Wannabe, Omni, Kotetsu and Adun. It has been particularly interesting to meet Adun who is such an avid ARIA fan. Though I still "hate" him for the fact that he always receive his ARIA merchandises earlier ^^.

The fate of the blog is uncertain but I certainly would like to continue it. However, it all depends on my commitment in the coming year. As much as I like to blog ARIA the Origination next year, its not a definite yet. Anyway, I’m sure there’re others who will take up ARIA the Origination. One for sure will be Adun, unless his work commitment disallows him.

Last but not least, another toast from Lacus, one of my favourite heroine.

Last year was Belldandy, hopefully next year we’ll have a picture of Alicia toasting since she likes alcohols anyway.

Thanks for all the visits and supports!

Greetings from Frankfurt

Greetings from Frankfurt, Germany.

It's 5.30am in the morning and I took advantage of the Hotel's internet access. At 3.28am, I called the reception checking the local time, he told me it was 4.28am. I was shocked as I found my time incorrect and I might miss the train at 7.30am. I changed the clock an hour earlier and woke up at 6am (5am actually). I then check the time online and yes, it's 5.30am now. Gee... ho could the reception got the time wrong.

The trip from Perth to Dubai was killing me since it's an 11 hour flight. The flight was well and we did encoutered some trubulences around Indian ocean. I found Dubai very hot. It was 27 degree when I reached Dubai at around 1pm (Dubai time). There was also a lot of people, some people were sitting on the sides of the lanes even though there were chairs just 100m away. The worst was the time we wasted sitting in a hot plane. Our flight from Dubai to Frankfurt was delayed because there's 3 plane arriving and we had to wait inside the train for more than 30 minutes. It was so hot and the air-conditioner was set weak during taxi. Gee... this incident made me lose impression on Emirates. I made an acquitance with a Chinese guy from Beijing. He's going to Berlin. The trip to Frankfurt was not really pleasant since I wasn't given the aisle seat as requested. And there's a compartment at the side so I can't stretch my leg well. Though it wasn't as bad as Wang as his in-flight entertainment system was faulty and he couldn't watch/play anything. I spent most of the time playing games which were classic and simple. I did get the highest score for the Bejewelled game and wrote my name on the record. Ha ha.

The weather in Frankfurt was good when we arrived. It's not as crazy as Perth weather now. I took a taxi to my hotel, Monopol. In Germany, the driver's seat is on the left. I went to th left and he told me it was the right since he's driving. Got bit embarassed. Gee.. the taxi driver was so "reckless". The driver sped 180 on a 120 road, cut lane without signal 80% of the time. He didn't fasten on his seat-belt until 10 minutes later.

The hotel I'm currently staying is quite decent. Though for Euro 99 per night, I would expect a clock and two pillows in the room. The water was weak, similar to the time I went to NZ. Guess, all hotels are trying to save water. The breakfast buffet will be available at 6am so I'm waiting for it.

Hope there's free access at the conference site or the hotel in Antwerp. See you. :)

Anime & Manga Horizon Policy

Some people have been asking me the policy of this blog since last year. I didn't compile any as I didn't think it was necessary until recently. These are the 4 policies which I observed, so breaking them would ensure your comments deleted. In times to come I might add, but for the time being, these 4 are adequate.
